As a community bank, we focus our attention on the needs of local families and businesses. We offer you and your business a full range of products and services at very competitive rates with low fees, and then we lend your deposits back out to your neighbors and fellow small businesses. That means that your money stays working right here in the community. Because we are also a small business, we understand the needs of small business owners and can partner with them for all of their financial needs. We feel it's important to support these local small businesses, as they are the backbone of our community.
The Lake Bank's roots in our community are over 125 years deep. We were established as Lake County's first financial institution in 1889 in Two Harbors, and in 1993 we joined the Silver Bay community. The list of early directors and shareholders includes locally well-known names such as John Swan, J.D. Budd, Thomas Owens, and F.F. McQuade. Over the years our name has changed from Sellwood, Burke & Co (1889) to the Bank of Two Harbors (1897) to Commercial State Bank (1908), to The Lake Bank (1999), but our strong commitment to our communities has never wavered. We are a solid community bank here to serve the communities that we love to live in, work in, and play in.
Today, we employ a full staff of local people who choose to live and raise their families right here in our community. Our employees are vested members of our community who work to serve the needs of our customers and our community organizations. In addition to giving back of time and talents, the bank is committed to reinvesting dollars back into our local community. By choosing to bank with us, you are choosing to invest in our local community, and for that, we thank you.
